Overview

As a general member you are, while often assigned to a specific sub-task (listed below), expected to help keep the CoG going for the two and half hours you are there. The following list typical activities that this entails. Generally there is a Team Leader that will help coordinate tasks, answer questions, and whatnot.

Types of Job

Assembling orders

  • Moving through the warehouse, "building" orders and having them ready for pick-up.

Handling Merchandise

Stocking

  • Unloading delivery trucks and then stocking warehouse shelves.
  • Confirming order against delivered goods.

  • Checking-in shift workers
  • Giving tours of the facility to new and prospective members
  • Answering the phone

  • General cleaning and light maintenance, like changing lightbulbs.

  • Scanning shopping member's items and navigating them through the paying process.
